Letter From Robin
May, 2002
Let me tell you about my life. My life is hard but let me tell you how it is. When I was born my mom was happy to have me and so was my uncle, my grandma, and my pop. It was hard at first, buy my dad did not want me or mom. He left me when I was 6 months old and we had to sell the house. Then it got better. I went to live with my grandma, pop, Uncle Hughie. It was a blast. I had fun living with my grandma and always got to go to Florida. Then my mom had my sister. Her name is Heather. Then I had to go to school, the name of the school was Jackson Road. At this school, when I went to it the school was ok. The principal was not good. The teachers did not help kids learn. I wanted to learn, but the teachers just sat me and my friend down to do nothing. This was not fun, but some kids thought it was fun because they did not have to do work in the classroom. But when I got out of that school, it was good. But it was not good enough. When I was in sixth grade, I was not with my friends. That made me mad. I was in the bad part of the school. I told my mom that I did not want to go to school anymore. Because the kids where not good, we had to find a good school. We did find a new school. The name of this school was High Road Academy. It was good and great school to go to. I was happy because I had some great teachers and some new friends. I will tell you the names of my sixth grade teachers. It was Mrs. Carter and Mrs. Anderson. Now I have two great teachers their names are Mr. Cooper and Miss. Willet. My friend’s name is Anna. And lets not forget the nice and great Principal, Dr. Gaske. She is the greatest principal because she shows the teachers how to teach us in many different ways. That is the greatest thing that has happened to me. I want to thank the teachers and Dr. Gaske for teaching me.
